"Go in Peace"
is a retreat for Christian women who have experienced abuse and
seek a holistic healing path that integrates body, mind and spirit.
Today, it is estimated that at least one-third of women experience
emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse at some point in their
lives; yet abuse is rarely discussed by religious communities.
This weekend will offer women the space to explore their own healing
journey in a safe, spiritual setting through the use of meditation,
music, art and other healing practices. By the end of the weekend,
retreat participants will have learned a variety of healing methods
and will have been given resources to take home so that they may
integrate healing into their daily lives.
Join Nicole Sotelo, author of Women Healing from Abuse: Meditations for Finding Peace (Paulist Press, November 2006), as she leads participants on this weekend. The retreat begins on Friday Evening and ends on Sunday after lunch.
Fee: $285 per
person

WHY THE CHURCH NEEDS REBELS
With Edwina Gately
June 8 - 9, 2008
Begins on Sunday evening at 6:30pm and ends on Monday at 4:00pm

Edwina will share her story of conscious rebellion as she struggles to respond to God’s call in a church which is not always faithful to the Gospel demands for justice, accountability and inclusivity. We do not choose to become rebels – we must become rebels as People of God in pursuit of truth and ustic. Edwina will enage us in a day of challenge, dialogue, and inspiration!
Edwina holds a Masters Degree in Theology from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Since the 1960's she has worked in a variety of settings in the United States and abroad among the poor and margilnalized. Edwina is currently writing, leading retreats for abused and marginalized women, and serving women in the "Second Phase" of recovery from prostitution. She continues to offer talks and leads retreats internationally. Join us as Edwina dialogues with us about how change happens in response to God's call.

COMING IN OCTOBER 2008
Leaving a Spiritual Legacy: Writing a Spiritual Will
Retreat
with Joe & Louise Colletti
October 31 & November 1, 2008
Begins Friday, Oct. 31st at 7:00pm through Saturday, Nov. 1st at 5:00pm

Many people spend a great deal of time and money preparing a financial will to provide for the passing on of their personal material assets. How does a person pass on one’s spiritual legacy that is ultimately more important than anything material ?
During this retreat you will be introduced and guided through the process of writing a “Spiritual Will” which will capture the gifts of the heart in a form that can be shared with those whom you love. You will create a personal life map and develop the beginnings of a written will that includes your significant life learnings, core beliefs, values, stories, hopes, dreams and requests of your spiritual legacy. There will also be many opportunities for individual reflection, prayer, the sharing of insights, group discussion and personal writing.
Take this opportunity to be inspired to leave a “love letter from your heart” to those who are important in your life.
Retreat Fee: $225 (includes overnight accommodations, breakfast, lunch on Sat. & workbook)
Commuter: $150 ( includes breakfast, lunch on Sat. & workbook)
