Evensong
by the Sea is open for religious and spiritual retreats from October 1st throughMay each year. Individual retreatants and groups are welcome
at anytime to renew their Friendship with God. A variety of guided
weekend retreats and five day retreats are offered, eight day
and thirty day retreats are available by special arrangement.
Spiritual Direction in the Christian Tradition is available. Reiki
treatments are offered, and training courses in Reiki are regularly

Located in the Cape Cod
town of Harwich Port, MA, Evensong Retreat & Spirituality
Center is set in a tranquil residential neighborhood across the
road from Allen's Harbor.
Its own
soft garden settings, peaceful tree-lined streets, and proximity
to the beaches of Nantucket Sound
allow retreatants to enjoy the off-season quiet beauty of Cape
Cod.
Our brick pathways
meander through a series of gardens leading to our St. Mary of
Magdala Chapel which is
available for quiet individual prayer. Retreatants are also welcome
to join in daily Community Prayer and Eucharist if they wish.
Margaret's
Path, an outdoor seven-circuit labyrinth, is set in a still developing
garden
on the West side of the chapel.
The quiet majesty
of Nantucket Sound is just a short walk down peaceful neighborhood
streets..Rev. James David,
M.Div, and Rev. Marie David, M.Ed. serve as the directors of Evensong
by the Sea. Marie's background is in religious education and women's
spirituality. Ordained a priest in the Roman Catholic Womenpriest
Community, Marie is well known for her contributions in the field
of early childhood education and faith development. She is also
a Reiki Master. Jim has over twenty-five years of experience in
ministry having served as a retreat director, spiritual director,
pastor and educator. Ordained as a priest in the Roman
Catholic Church he resigned from the Roman Catholic clerical in
order to more effectively work for reform in the Roman Catholic
Church. He currently serves with faculties as a Catholic Priest
in good standing in the Catholic Ecumenical Church. Both Marie
and Jim are certified by the Federation of Christian Ministries.
