Give yourself a weekend away to focus on discovering love in its many contexts: love for oneself, the world and God. Experiences of abuse break the bonds of trust and may create unhealthy patterns in the way we relate to ourselves and others. This retreat explores the three stages of healing from abuse through the lens of God’s love. The weekend offers women the space to explore their healing journey in a safe, spiritual setting through the use of art, music, meditation and other healing modalities. There is quiet time during the weekend to rest in your beautiful private room at the center, stroll by the beach or walk the labyrinth by the chapel. This popular retreat is being presented for the fifth year in a row and we have some scholarship openings (please contact us for details). Join Nicole Sotelo, author of Women Healing from Abuse: Meditations for Finding Peace (Paulist Press, November 2006), as she leads participants on this weekend. The retreat begins on Friday Evening and ends on Sunday after lunch.
