HOLY WEEK AT EVENSONG:
THE TRIDUUM EXPRIENCE
April 5 - 7, 2012
Begins at 7:00pm on Holy Thursday and ends with the Easter Vigil at 8:00pm on Saturday

Come enjoy the Springtime Easter beauty of Cape Cod and join Evensong by the Sea's community as they celebrate the solemn services of Holy Week. All are welcome to participate in celebrating the Triduum Liturgy: The Liturgy of The Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, The Liturgy of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. The Triduum will be celebrated in Evensong's Chapel of St. Mary Magdala. If you are a local resident join us at the scheduled times. If you would like overnight accommodations contact us and we can provide private room with breakfast for $100 per night. Liturgy of the Hours and an atmosphere of silence will supplement the services. The silence will invite guests to enter into the depth of the Easter mystery at work in our world, our church, and our own souls.

HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE:

Palm Sunday, April 1st: Mass at 10:00 am

Holy Thursday, April 5th: Mass of the Lord's Supper at 7:00 pm

Good Friday, April 6th:
            12 – 2:45pm    Labyrinth Walk & Stations of the Cross
3:00 pm           Gather in Silence in Chapel at the
                                    hour of the Lord’s death.
7:00PM           Liturgy of the Lord's Passion

Holy Saturday, April 7th: The Easter Vigil at 8:00 pm

EASTER MASS IS CELEBRATED AT THE EASTER VIGIL; THERE IS NO MASS AT 10AM ON EASTER SUNDAY.

PRAYING THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS
WITH MARY THE MOTHER OF JESUS:
On Good Friday from Noon to 2:45pm a special  Labyrinth Walk  will be available  which will incorporate the Stations of the Cross from  the perspective of Mary, the Mother of Jesus.  Individuals may come between 12 noon and 2:45pm on Good Friday and there will be people to greet them and get them started.  Typically the time involved is about 20 – 30 minutes.
