Nurses interested in expanding their ability and skill in offering energy healing to themselves and their patients are invited to join us for First Degree Reiki Training!  This training enables you to share Reiki energy with yourself and others to promote balance and harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. Reiki energy helps reduce stress, brings comfort and calm, and accelerates the body's natural healing process.  The practice of Reiki will bring a more centered focus to your nursing practice, benefiting yourself, patients, families and colleagues. Upon completion of this training the participant will be able to:

Tell a brief story of the way Reiki was started     Simply describe the Human Energy System
Use one’s breath to start to relax                                    Give oneself a Reiki treatment using guide sheets
                                   Use one’s knowledge of Reiki to work with another

Larraine Bossi, Project Manager of Medicine Patient Services at Children’s Hospital in Boston shares over 40 years of nursing experience in support of wellness for nurses and their patients.  Marie David joins Larraine in teaching Reiki for over 10 years focusing the integration of body, mind and spirit.  Cost $175.

This activity has been submitted to the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) for approval to award 10 contact hours.  AHNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission of Accreditation
.Approval for contact hours through the AHNA is based on an assessment of the educational merit of this program and does not constitute endorsement of the use of any specific modality in the care of clients.
